Water Purifiers must remove or kill bacteria to be considered a “Purifier”.
Drinking water filter systems generally are unable to remove or kill bacteria.
Reverse Osmosis Purifiers (RO) harnesses nature’s own process to extract water without the impurities through a semi permeable membrane.
Pure water contains no dissolved solids.
The Reverse Osmosis process removes around 95% of all dissolved solids leaving you with purer than bottled, drinking water on tap.
Removing any more than this can lead to the water becoming aggressive or flat in flavour.
Much has been claimed and said about the health benefits of Alkaline water, and we at Pure Choice don’t claim to be doctors or nutritionists, however we can increase the pH of the pure RO water to around pH 9 if you wish.
If you want your water to contain some calcium, but not all the other contaminants that are commonly found in tap water, just ask us about Remineralised RO Water.
Ultraviolet water purifiers (U.V.) Ultraviolet purification itself does not significantly change the chemical content of the water or remove dissolved solids. It is therefore important to understand that UV purification is not suitable for all water supplies. This is because the UV radiation is only effective for treating bacteria and viruses. UV light does not work to eliminate contaminants, such as chlorine, heavy metals and VOC's (Volatile Organic Compounds). For this, other treatment methods are required.
UV purification is ideal for ensuring that already chemically safe water is also bacterially safe.
It is widely used on private water supplies and in industrial processes that require clean bug free water.
Pre-filtration to prevent shadowing and ensuring the equipment is properly matched against the flow requirements of the application are essential.
